L-Theanine
An amino acid found in tea leaves, and the backbone of most calming formulas. Associated with a relaxed state, not a sedated one.
L-Tryptophan
The amino acid the body uses to make serotonin. Works alongside L-theanine.
Chamomile extract
One of the oldest soothing botanicals there is, and still one of the most used.
Hydrolysed bovine collagen
A structural protein for skin, coat and connective tissue. Hydrolysed so it's easy to digest.
Green lipped mussel
New Zealand shellfish (Perna canaliculus), naturally rich in omega-3s. It's in every Bolta chew.
Magnesium citrate
Supports normal nerve and muscle function, the physical side of staying settled.

Dazy Dog started in Sydney in 2019 with one orthopaedic bed. Today it's one of the biggest dog bed brands in the country, with a retail store in Cronulla. Bolta is the same team, turning from what dogs sleep on to what they eat.

Where is it made?
In Australia, cold-formed rather than baked so the actives go in whole. Green lipped mussel is sourced from New Zealand.
Will it make my dog sleepy?
It is not a sedative and it is not meant to knock them out. L-theanine is associated with a relaxed state rather than a drowsy one.
How long until I notice anything?
Give it four to six weeks of daily feeding before you judge it. These actives build up rather than working on the day, which is why the 2 and 4 bag bundles exist.
Can I use it for fireworks or a car trip?
It works best fed daily in the lead-up rather than handed over on the night. These actives build up, so a single bite an hour before the fireworks is asking a lot of it.
Can I give it alongside anxiety medication?
Check with your vet first. If your dog is on behaviour medication that conversation needs to happen before you add anything.
Is it suitable for puppies?
These are made for adult dogs 12 months and over. Puppies are still growing and their needs are different, so check with your vet first.
How much is shipping, and how long will it take?
$12.95 anywhere in Australia, and free on orders over $180. Orders are processed the day after you order and ship from our warehouse in Sydney, usually with Australia Post. Allow 2 to 8 business days from there, depending on how far you are from Sydney.
